Pale walls, hanging plants trailing down, dark timber tables and the day's papers left out for anyone who wants one. There's high seating and low, hard and soft, so pick the spot that suits how long you're staying.

The food is simple and made fresh. Breakfast is the main event, then sandwiches, jacket potatoes, scones and cakes, with sharing boards on a wooden tray if you're settling in. Most days it's office workers, shoppers and locals in for a coffee, a plate and a proper sit-down. That suits us fine.
The coffee here is strong and made with care, and there's matcha, blended drinks and orange juice too. Tea comes in a coloured pot with a cup and saucer, the way it should. Drink in under the plants, or take a cup away with you. We don't do delivery.
